Keun Palu-Thompson collected his first college triple-double as the Lower Columbia College Red Devils defeated the Chemeketa Storm 91-82 on Sunday December 4th.
Palu-Thompson ended up with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.
Down 12 in the first half, LCC went on a 17-0 run to lead the Storm by 10 at halftime. The Devils continued to increase the lead in the second half, up by 20 at one point. Chemeketa would not die and a flurry of late three's got the Storm within five but the Devils closed it out.
Devin Johnson had another big game with 26 points and eight rebounds.
Elijah Cotton-Welch added 14 and
Spencer Sweet scored 13 to go along with a huge blocked shot that snuffed a Chemeketa lay-in.
The Devils shot 51 percent for the afternoon.
LCC is now 4-2 on the season as they get ready to head to Northern California for a two game road trip December 9th and 10th. The Devils take on American River College in Sacramento at 6 pm Friday and then take on Shasta College in Redding on Saturday at 6 pm.
