Marcus Lord is known for his high energy post play. But it was his long distance three that won it for the Red Devils as they defeated Peninsula 71-70 in a season-opening overtime thriller on Sunday November 20th.
The Red Devils and Pirates went back and forth in the OT and both teams gave the other opportinities to win. With a two point lead and at the line, Peninsula missed two free throws to set up Lord's game winning three just ahead of the final horn. A desperation heave was no good and the Devils came away with the victory.
Lord finished with 11 points and eight rebounds for the Devils.
