Katie Hankins was back in her home area Saturday January 23rd. She put on a show in front of the homies.
Hankins had 26 points and nine rebounds to lead the Lower Columbia women's basketball team to a 65-58 victory over Centralia. The sophomore from Chehalis hit 11 of 18 shots and all four of her free throws.
The victory put the Devils alone in first place in the West at 5-0. Centralia dropped to 4-1.
Keahi-lele Roy scored 11 points with three assists.
Katerina Brejchova had a solid game with seven points, nine rebounds, four steals and four assists.
Bailey Hockett scored five points and it was her clutch free throw shooting down the stretch that helped preserve to win. Hockett was five for six at the line.
The Devils are now 13-8 as they ride a five game winning streak. The team returns home for another big game against Grays Harbor. The Chokers are 4-1 in the league standings.
