It took awhile to figure out the man-to-man. In the end the Lower Columbia men's basketball team came away with a 74-65 road victory over Centralia on Saturday January 23rd.
Down one at the half, the Devils made the adjustments neccessary to outscore the Blazers 49-39 in the second half. It had been awhile since LCC had seen a man-to-man defensive strategy.
Lawrence Russell and
Keun Palu-Thompson led the way. Russell had 21 points and 10 rebounds. Russell was 10 for 11 at the free throw line.
Palu-Thompson had 21 points and eight rebounds, two steals and two assists. Palu-Thompson was also solid at the line hitting 6 of 8 freebies.
Devin Johnson was a force with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Kyle Bobo also continued his efficient game with seven points, three assists, four steals and just one turnover.
Marcus Lord and
Tyler Barton provided energy off the bench. Lord had five points and Barton scored six.
