Down 16 at halftime against a hot shooting Highline team, the Lower Columbia women's team turned up the second half heat and rallied for a 57-51 victory Wednesday January 20th.
The T-Birds shot 59 percent in the first half including 4 for 6 from three point range. The Devils were asked to step up the defense knowing Highline had to come back to earth.
And it happened.
LCC outscored Highline 17-9 in the third quarter and then the Devils put the hammer down in the 4th outscoring the T-Birds 16-2.
Bailey Hockett fueled the rally, hitting 3 of 4 three's. She had 11 points and five rebounds.
Katie Hankins had 12 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots.
Keahi-lele Roy had eight points.
With the win, the Devils go to 4-0 in the West. A huge game at 4-0 Centralia looms on Saturday January 22nd. The tip off is 5 pm.
