The Lower Columbia College women's basketball team shook off a slow start and rallied for a 63-48 win over Green River on Saturday January 16th.

The Devils found themselves down 28-12 in the second quarter, but they went on a 13-1 run to get back in the game. Down six at the half, the Devils turned up the defense and held the Gators to single digit scoring in the third and fourth quarters.

Faye Chartraw led the scoring with 18 points. She was 4 for 8 from beyond the arc and also added seven rebounds.

Katie Hankins had 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists.  Mireya Villanueva provided good play off the bench with eight points including two clutch three's.

The Devil defense forced 21 Gator turnovers. LCC had 13 miscues.

The Gators were led by the 18 points and nine rebounds of Jessica Norlander.

LCC is now 3-0 in West play as they get ready for a key road game at Highline on Wednesday January 20th. Game time is 6 pm.
