The LCC volleyball team got some much need tournament action and showed some good resolve by going 3-1 at the Gator Classic in Auburn Friday and Saturday Setpember 4th and 5th.

The Devils dropped their tournament opener to a very good Shoreline team 25-17, 25-13 and 25-15.

Later on Friday, LCC then hooked up in a five-set battle with Treasure Valley. The scores were 24-26, 31-29, 25-19, 23-25 with the Devils taking the deciding set 15-10.

Saturday LCC had another five-set tester with Skagit Valley.  LCC jumped out 2-0 with identical 25-19 wins. But the Cardinals came back with wins 14-25 and 18-25. The Red Devils took the deciding set 16-14.

LC capped the weekend with a sweep over Whatcom 25-15, 25-22 and 25-17.

Rachel Erickson and Kylie Reinholdt were both named to the Gator Classic All-Tournament team.

The Devils have a tough test on Labor Day when they host Clackamas in a Monday night 6 pm match.
