The West Region battles between Lower Columbia and Clark are a thing of the past with the Penguins shifting to the NWAC South.

But that doesn't mean the matchups aren't still entertaining.

The Penguins showed outstanding skill and talent in defeating the Red Devils 3-1 on Wednesday September 2nd. The set scores were 25-20, 25-19, 21-25 and 25-23.

The Red Devils got down 0-2 with a pair of close losses in the first two sets. LCC bounced back with the third set win before the Penguins held off a Devil rally in the 4th to take the match.

Rachel Erickson had 12 kills to lead LCC  Shelby Bergum and Kaysee Wohl had eight kills each.  Kelsey Brown had 20 assists and 17 digs.  Alexa Bond led the dig catagory with 26.

Jenna Mast had 19 kills to lead Clark.

LCC is now 21 on the young season and they head to Auburn for the Green River tournament Friday and Saturday September 4th and 5th.
