The Lower Columbia women's basketball team took care of business early on Tuesday December 8th.
The Devils led Portland 23-2 after one quarter and used that hot start to propel to a 68-41 victory at the PCC campus.
Carissa Cannon scored a college career-high 19 points to lead the way. Cannon hit three of five 3-pointers and also collected five rebounds.
Katie Hankins had another solid game as she scored 12 points with nine boards. Speaking of rebounding, Devil guardÂ
Alexis Turner had 10 defensive rebounds from the guard position, also scoring eight points.Â
Samantha Boyce also had 10 points and five rebounds.
LCC out rebounded the Panthers 51-31.
It's a quick turnaround for the Devils as they will travel to Vancouver for a game with Clark on Wednesday December 9th. What used to be a big division rivalry is now just a non-league affair after Clark's move to the South Division.
Game time at the McConnell Sports Center is 6 pm.
