Devils Comeback Falls Short Against North Idaho

The Lower Columbia women's basketball team showed fight.  But in the end, North Idaho had too many weapons.

North Idaho defeated Lower Columbia 73-62 in the semi-finals of the Lower Columbia Holiday Classic on Tuesday December 29th.

Down 21 in the third quarter, the Devils got within seven in the 4th showing guts and determination.

Katie Hankins led the way with 15 points and eight rebounds.  Samantha Boyce had 11 points and Nesija Selava also added 11.

Katerina Brejchova had seven points, five rebounds and four assists.  Bailey Hockett also chipped in with five points, five boards and three steals.

Shelby Cloninger led the Cardinals with 18 points.

The Devils will take on Lethbridge Alberta Canada at 1pm on Wednesday December 30th.  The game can be seen live on DevilVision on the Lower Columbia Athletics YouTube channel.

The schedule for Wednesday is Centralia versus Blue Mountain at 11 am, LCC and Lethbridge at 1 pm and the 3pm championship between North Idaho and Umpqua.
