LCC men's basketball coach
Jim Roffler knew it would be a stern challenge for his team. A group of his more mature former stars came to Myklebust Gym and defeated his current Red Devils 85-83 in overtime on Tuesday December 29th.
Austin Trafalet hit a three at the buzzer to beat the Red Devils. The former Devil had 25 points to lead all scorers including the game winner in OT.
Devin Johnson of LCC had a huge game with 21 points, 17 rebounds and three blocked shots.
Lawrence Russell had 18 points, 11 boards and three assists.
Marcus Lord scored 14 points.
Keun Palu-Thompson had 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Kyle Bobo had eight points, eight rebounds and five assists.
The Devils allowed the Alumni team to hang around down the stretch after taking a five point lead into halftime. The former Devils outscored LCC 40-35 in the second half.
Jeray Key had 14 points and
Jeremy Burright added 13. The oldest former Devil, Tyler Baker was solid with 13 points and nine rebounds.
It's a quick turnaround for LCC as they take the short trip to Vancouver to play Clark in a 7 pm non-leaguer on Wednesday December 30th.
