Playing in front of the home crowd for the first time, the LCC Red Devils stumbled in the second half and lost to Southwestern Oregon 90-83 on Friday November 27th.
It was the opening round of the Red Devil Classic and LCC had a 41-37 halftime lead. But the veteran Lakers took advantage of the young Devils and outscored LCC 53-42 in the second half.
Erik Johnson led SWOCC with 21 points including 5 of 6 three-pointers.

Devin Johnson had 19 points and six rebounds.Â
Lawrence Russell had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.Â
Keun Palu-Thompson had a college career-high 15 points.
There were too many fouls for LCC as the Lakers went 31 for 38 at the line. The Devils were 20 for 30.

There are four games at Myklebust Gym on Saturday. Centralia plays Yakima Valley at 1 pm, followed by LCC versus Olympic at 3 pm. The semi-finals pit Everett against Mt. Hood at 6 pm and Spokane against SW Oregon at 8 pm.
