The Lower Columbia Red Devil volleyball team proved it belongs near the top of the West Region standings. But Tacoma got the points they needed in a 3-0 victory on Friday October 30th.
The Titans took set one 26-24 and then went to take the sweep 25-22 and 25-19.
The Devils were right there in a highly competitive match. But Tacoma had the high flyers at the net led by 18 kills from Arlicia Ortiz.
Rachel Erickson led a balanced LCC attack with nine kills and 15 digs.Â
Kelsey Brown had 11 assists and 14 digs.Â
Haylee Savage had 10 assists.Â
Kylie Reinholdt led LCC with 17 digs and
Alexa Bond had 12 digs.Â
Shelby Bergum had three blocks to lead in that catagory.
With the loss, the Devils slip into third place alone at 7-3. Tacoma and Highline are both at 8-2 tied for first place.
The Devils get another shot at Highline on Wednesday November 4th in Des Moines. The match begins at 7 pm.
LCC closes out the regular season with a home match against Centralia on Friday November 6th.
