The Lower Columbia College Red Devils played right with a very good Chemeketa team before dropping a 2-0 match on Saturday October 3rd.

The Devils thought they had the lead when a Katlyn Bigley goal was disallowed for "interfering with the vision of the goalkeeper".  The officials explanation was hard for the Devils to take, but they played on and played well for the rest of the match.

Chemeketa took the lead right before halftime when McKenna Kendall scored a goal at the 43rd minute. Kendall would add some late insurance when she scored her second goal of the match at the 80 minute mark.

LCC keeper Whitney Lopez had several outstanding saves and ended with 10 on the day.

The Devils drop to 3-8 overall.  They have another non-league game on Wednesday October 7th at home against the Linfield JV's.  Match time at Northlake Field is 4 pm.
