It's always a good day when you can beat a rival. The Lower Columbia women's basketball team took care of the ball and took care of the Clark Penguins 80-68 on Saturday January 10th.
LCC had just 10 turnovers and raced out to a 21 point second half lead before securing the victory. The Devils also outrebounded the Penguins 46 to 31.
Kaylea Knox led the scoring with 22 points, including four of six 3's. Knox also had seven rebounds, six on the offensive end. Sierra Richards was her normal solid self with 20 points and seven rebounds.
Katie Hankins had a break-out game with 12 points, going 5-6 from the floor. Donniesha Webber had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Webber also had three assists and two steals.
Caylee Newsom led Clark with 22 points.
The Devils have a quick turnaround as they head to Green River for a game Monday January 12th. The tip off in Auburn is set for 6 pm.
