The Lower Columbia women's basketball team is agonzing over the upset that got away.
The Devils opened the Lower Columbia Holiday Classic with an 84-80 loss to Snow College of Utah, the unbeaten #16 ranked NJCA team.
The Badgers held off an LCC team that outrebounded them 41-30. But the 26 turnovers led to the Devils undoing.
LCC had a nine point lead in the first half, but the talented Snow team made sure there was no upset on Saturday, December 27th.
Kaylea Knox led LCC with 19 points. Freshman point guard Katerina Bjejchova had a breakout game with 15 points, five rebounds and three assists. Katie Hankins also played well with 11 points and seven rebounds. Donniesha Webber had five points and eight rebounds.
The Devils take Sunday off before they resume action Monday afternoon at 2 pm against the Yakima Valley Yaks.
The LC Holiday Classic goes through Tuesday afternoon at the Mark Morris Gymnasium.
