The Lower Columbia men's basketball team gave top ranked Clark all they could handle. But the Penguins staved off the Devils 75-55 Wednesday January 8th.

LCC had a four point lead at halftime 34-30, but Clark took advantage of some defensive lapses to outscore the Devils 45-31 in the second half.

Cameron Howell led LCC with 17 points. Sherif Taha added 14 points. Jermey Burright had another solid game with 11 points and six rebounds.

The loss drops the Devils to 0-3 in league, but there is still optimism according to head coach Jim Roffler. "We are still trying to get everyone on the same page and the slow progress has been frustrating", he said. "But we have the talent to win and we are going to continue to work towards getting better and competing smart."

The Devils return to thier temporary home the Mark Morris HS Gymnasium this Saturday January 11th when they host the Green River Gators at 7:00 pm. You can hear the game on the internet by going to klog.com.
