DEVILS UPSET #4 PIERCE
The LCC men's basketball team came up with an upset victory over the Pierce Raiders on Wednesday January 15th.
The Devils beat the Raiders 89-73. LCC has won two straight league games after starting the division play at 0-3.
Sherif Taha led LCC with 19 points, hitting five of 10 three-point shots.
Cameron Howell continued his scoring surge with 17 points and six rebounds.
Christian Parrott had another solid game in the post with 16 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
Wayne Tucker had 13 points and six assists and
Michael Dupree hit some big threes, scoring 13 points.
The Devils led 46-36 at halftime, and then stretched the lead up to 16 in the second half. The talented Raiders then rallied to tie the game up before LCC went on a 10-0 run to regain control.
Lower Columbia shot 46% from the floor and made 12 of 24 three's.
The Devils are now 2-3 in league and 4-10 overall. LCC travels to Tacoma for a 5pm game on Saturday January 18th.
