Lower Columbia College Red Devils

Troy Shorey is in his first season as Head Volleyball Coach at Lower Columbia College. Coach Shorey also serves as the College and Career Prep Advisor, guiding 150+  students to high school completion and create a path to their career goals.

Coach Shorey came to LCC in March 2024 after a six year career at Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis, Oregon. During that time span, the varsity team finished 4th at state in 2021, and then were state champions in 2022 and 2023. Before coaching at Crescent Valley, he also assisted for Lebanon High school for 3 years, where the varsity team placed 6th in 2012, 4th in 2013, and 5th in 2014. He has also coached at Willamette High School in Eugene, for 6 years. He has received Coach of the Year for the league he has head coached in 3 times and has received the AVCA Regional Coach of the Year for 2022. In addition to coaching high school, he has coached for various clubs in Oregon and has coached a team that has qualified for USA Nationals in 5 of the last 7 years.

 
Troy competed for 2 years on the University of Oregon men's club team, playing the libero position. He was an All State player his senior year of high school as a setter while attending Thurston High School. 
 
Troy has 2 daughters and 2 grandkids.
