Carri Smith

Carri Smith has been at the helm of the LCC volleyball program for 11 years. Within those years, LCC has had great success including earning berths to the NWAC Championship Tournament 9 out of the last 10 years (no tournament in 2021 due to Covid-19), including an NWAC Championship in 2016, and a 5th places in 2017 and 2018.  With a consistent winning record each year (231-142) and an NWAC title, the Red Devil Volleyball Program continues to strive for excellence both on the court and in the classroom.

Carri’s volleyball pedigree is both long and distinguished.  She played at Prairie High School in Brush Prairie, Washington where her team won the 4A GSHL state championship her senior year.  She also played club for Greater Columbia and Cowlitz Volleyball Clubs.  Once her high school and club seasons were completed, Carri was awarded a scholarship to play at Seattle Pacific University where she excelled as both a player and student. She received her B.A. in General Family and Consumer Sciences.

After completing her undergraduate studies at SPU, Carri married her husband Josh and they began coaching volleyball together.  Over the past 19 years they have enjoyed great success at both the club and high school levels, most recently, at Skyview High School in Vancouver, Washington.

In 2013, Carri earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Central Washington University.  She is currently a culinary teacher at Kelso High School.
