Assistant Coach Marquessa Gilson is excited to begin her first year coaching the LCC Red Devils!
Before coming to Lower Columbia, she served as the freshman/sophomore coach and assistant varsity coach at Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah for two years. She also helped coach the 17U Lady Rebels, an Utah AAU team in the summer of 2015.
Gilson participated in volleyball, basketball and track in high school and lettered in all sports her last two years at Cyprus High School. She also was voted Utah Woman’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Star in 2013. Gilson went on to be a two-year starter for Brigham Young University Hawaii and later transferred to Colorado Mesa University for her last two years. Gilson completed a bachelor’s degree of Science in Physical Education.
When Gilson is not busy with basketball, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking up some delicious food.
