Lucas Myers

Lucas Myers has been an employee of Lower Columbia College for the last 12 years as a Biology Faculty member. His impact as a Natural Science department head is also enhanced by the tremendous success as the Red Devil Head Women’s Basketball Coach. He is off to a great start as head coach with a 51-19 record in three seasons with a winning percentage of 73%.

Myers was a star athlete at Castle Rock High School where he went on to play running back for the Linfield University Wildcats. Myers went on to receive his Doctorate of Education at Washington State University Vancouver.

Lucas previously coached
Castle Rock HS and Three Rivers Christian HS. At Castle Rock, he coached on the boys staff for 3 years and then after a short break to spend more time with his two young children, he returned to coaching as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Three Rivers Christian. As the Head Coach at Three Rivers he coached the girls team to league titles and its first playoff win in program history.
    
Myers served one season as an assistant to Chad Meadors at LCC. He was elevated to head coach when Meadors took the head coaching position at Bushnell University in Eugene, OR. In his first year as LCC Head Coach Myers led the team to a Western Region Championship and an Elite Eight appearance at the NWAC Championship Tournament. Myers guided the team to an undefeated 9-0 season during the challenging 2020-21 Covid-19 season.

Myers serves on the NWAC Women's Basketball Sports Committee as the West Region coaches representative.


Lucas is married to former LCC Volleyball player Rachel (Rahn). They have three children.

Lucas takes pride in the history of LCC athletics and academics and with his coaching staff serves to continue this reputation into the future.
