Coach Arnold was a local prep standout at Kalama High School, leading the Chinooks to four consecutive state softball tournaments during her career 1998-2001. In her junior year she pitched Kalama to the Washington 1A state softball title.

 

The hard-throwing righty had an outstanding career at University of Massachusetts. From 2002-2004, Arnold had a 38-14 record with 12 shutouts and a 1.56 ERA. During her time at UMass the Minutewomen won three Atlantic-10 titles and qualified for NCAA postseason play each season. The individual highlight was an eight-inning no-hitter she threw against Fordham in the conference tourney in 2004.

 

Arnold earned many college honors in 2004, her junior season, including selection as an all A-10 first team pitcher. She led the conference with 20 wins that season. She was named A-10 Pitcher of the Week three times in 2004, an award she earned two times in 2003.

 

Since her playing days, Arnold has coached at multiple levels, including the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and most recently was head coach at Kalama HS until 2014. This is her 4th year serving as the Red Devils pitching coach.
