The 2021-22 season will be coach Browns' seventh season on the Red Devil coaching staff. The Sacramento native began his coaching career after his decorated time as a player at Montana State University-Northern.
Brown is the son of Michael and Cathy Brown and he comes from a coaching family. Older brother Michael Brown was the coach at Ponderosa High School in Shingle Springs, CA before he tragically passed away in 2014. Allan’s other older brother Tyler is an assistant coach at Cal State-Monterey Bay.
Allan played JC basketball at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento for head coach James Giacomazzi. While at Cosunmes, Coach Brown was Top 5 in California JC assists and as team captain led the Hawks to the Sweet 16 playoffs.
Coach Brown then moved on to Montana-Northern were he started two years under head coach Shawn Huse. Allan helped lead the Lights to back-to-back national tournament berths. He was named team captain as a senior. While Coach Brown was at Montana-Northern, his teams won 40 games and were nationally ranked as high as 10th in the nation.
