Ryan is another home grown baseball talent, going to high school right here in Longview. As a Monarch, Ryan, played baseball, basketball, and football. Lettering all fours years in each sport. in 2009 he helped the football team to an elite 8 appearance and the basketball team to a 4th place finish at state. In 2010 the football team improved on the previous year finishing 3rd in state. The 2011 and 2012 he helped the Monarch basketball teams get the sweet 16 round of the state tournament.
While at Mark Morris, Ryan, set a school record in football for most tackles in a career (240.5). In baseball he set the school record for Single season: batting Avg. (.571), on-base percentage (.696), Home Runs (9), walks (20) and complete games (4). For Career: Hits (111), Doubles (29), Triples (4), Home Runs (22), Runs Scored (94), and Runs batted in (111).
Ryan also played in the Babe Ruth league, where his team made it to the 2009 Babe Ruth World Series.
