Eric Lane

Eric Lane

The 2021-22 season will be Coach Lanes' fifth year as the skipper of the Red Devils. He previously coached third base for Lower Columbia while also serving as the Infield and Strength Coach for four years. In his four years as head coach, Eric has compiled a record of 108-21 (84%) and led the Devils to back-to-back NWAC Championships in 2018 and 2019. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 there were no NWAC championships in the 2020 or 2021 seasons.

Lane returned to Longview after a great career as a player.  He led the 2010 Lower Columbia NWAC Championship team and was named the Most Valuable Player of the entire NWAC for his great season. He then transferred to Gonzaga and earned All-Conference recognition in his junior season.

Prior to his return to Longview, Lane started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Gonzaga and helped lead his Zags to the West Coast Conference Regular Season Championship in 2013. He also spent the 2013 summer as an assistant coach for the Wenatchee Applesox in the West Coast Collegiate League.

Eric was born and raised in Port Angeles, WA.
