Coach Valentine enters his first season with the Red Devils. He will serve as the program’s recruiting coordinator while working with the hitters and outfielders.
Valentine comes to Longview after 5 years as an assistant coach at Linfield University where he worked with the hitters and outfielders while serving as the recruiting coordinator the last two seasons. During his time at Linfield, the Wildcats reached the Northwest conference tournament twice and a share of the regular season conference championship in 2022.
Valentine played at Yakima Valley College and Linfield University. He graduated from Linfield with a marketing degree.
A Vancouver, Washington native, Valentine graduated from Skyview High School where he was a two-time all-league player while helping the Storm to the program’s first and only state championship.
In the summer of 2018, Valentine was a member of the West Coast League's Kelowna Falcons coaching staff. He helped guide the Falcons to the West Coast League Championship Series where he primarily worked with hitters.
