Former standout reliever for the Red Devils, Alex Brady joined the coaching staff in the Fall of 2024. Brady will serve as the club’s first base coach and assist in all areas of player development.
Brady joins the coaching ranks following a playing career with time spent at Lower Columbia College, Louisiana State University, and Central Washington University.
At Lower Columbia in 2019, Brady led the Red Devil Pitching Staff with a 1.13 ERA across 24 innings and 9 appearances. His efforts out of the Bullpen helped secure Lower Columbia a West Region Title and 2019 NWAC Championship. In 2019 Brady earned All-NWAC First team honors. His sophomore year at Lower Columbia was cut short due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, but got off to a hot start with a 1.29 ERA in 7 innings over 4 appearances. Following his 2-year run with the Red Devils, Brady transferred to SEC Powerhouse LSU. At LSU Brady reunited with former Red Devil Head Coach Eddie Smith. In 2021, he recorded 1 win and made 12 relief appearances, recording 8 innings pitched for the Tigers. Following his time at LSU, Brady finished his career at Central Washington. Across 2 seasons with the Wildcats, he compiled 108 innings in 19 starts, and 101 strikeouts to go along with 36 walks.
Brady is a native to Longview, and is a graduate of R.A. Long High School. For the Lumberjacks, he was the 2A GSHL Pitcher of the year.
Coach Brady resides in Longview and enjoys spending time with his family and girlfriend
