LAKEWOOD, Wa. — Lower Columbia defeated Pierce 5-0 on Saturday in league play. LCC controlled the shot totals 19-1 and put 13 attempts on goal while holding Pierce to one shot on goal. After taking a 1-0 lead in the first half, the Red Devils added four goals in the second half and kept Pierce without a shot after halftime.
LCC took a 1-0 lead in the first half when
Ada Labowitz scored at 7:37.
Sam Roundtree had forced a save in the opening minute and
Raelie Guizzotti delivered an early corner, and the Red Devils followed the goal with saved shots from
Annabelle Rogers and
Payton Bullmore plus three more attempts before the 25th minute.
Leeann Williams saved Pierce's lone shot on goal at 27:18, and LCC went into halftime ahead 1-0.
The Red Devils added four goals in the second half, with
Maylee Reynolds scoring at 50:28 from
Addison Hartley and again at 65:54 from Labowitz.
Alyssa Gregory scored from
Sydney Butler at 81:36, then assisted
Zoe Ernst at 84:03 as LCC finished off a 5-0 win.
Reynolds led LCC with two goals, six shots and four shots on goal. Labowitz scored the game-winning goal, added an assist and put three of her four shots on frame. Gregory finished with a goal and an assist on her lone shot.
Leeann Williams made one save over 78:38 without allowing a goal.
