The Red Devils secured a hard-fought 4-1 victory over the Pierce Raiders in the first game of their March 26, 2026 matchup at Fort Steilacoom Park.
The game was locked in a tense 1-1 tie until the Red Devils broke it open with a clutch three-run rally in the top of the ninth inning. Third baseman Sam Davidson was instrumental at the plate, tallying two doubles, one run batted in, and a walk.
Jackson Noonan contributed a crucial hit and an RBI in the final frame, while Jaylen Kennedy added an RBI on a sacrifice fly.
On the mound, starter Graham Learing put in a strong six innings, striking out five and allowing just one earned run. Dante Santulli earned the win to improve to 2-0 on the year, pitching two completely scoreless innings in relief.
Matthew Kosderka cleanly closed out the final inning to secure his seventh save of the season.
Gavin Thunstrom took the loss for the Raiders, falling to 1-2.
In the nightcap, the Red Devils' bats stayed hot, powering them to a decisive 6-1 win to effortlessly complete the sweep.
Lower Columbia consistently built their lead throughout the evening, highlighted by a two-run fifth inning and a two-run sixth. The offense showcased its power with two home runs: one from designated hitter Harlan Rowe, who crushed a two-run shot, and a solo blast from Sam Davidson. James Cote also had a fantastic multi-hit game, smacking two doubles.
Starting pitcher Quinn Hubbs earned the win, improving his record to an impressive 5-1 after throwing six innings, striking out four, and giving up just one earned run on four hits.
Adam Jay finished out the 9th inning facing 3 batters with 3 strike outs. Because of the comfortable lead, there was no save recorded in the second game.
Freddy Frias-Moreno was tagged with the loss for Pierce, dropping his record to 2-3.
