Devils Split Four-Game Series with Wenatchee Valley

The Lower Columbia Red Devils hosted the Wenatchee Valley Knights for a four-game series at David Story Field, ultimately coming away with a series split after a dominant Saturday and a challenging Sunday.

Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 - Game 1

The Red Devils set the tone in Saturday's opener with a hard-fought 2-0 victory.

Graham Learing was electric on the mound, earning the win after striking out eleven batters and scattering just four hits over six scoreless innings. The bullpen seamlessly held the line, with Adam Jay tossing two scoreless innings and Matthew Kosderka locking down the save in the ninth.

Offensively, Jackson Noonan paced the lineup with a stellar 3-for-4 performance at the plate, while Jaylen Kennedy contributed the crucial RBI.

Game 2

Saturday's nightcap featured an offensive explosion from Lower Columbia, resulting in a 10-0 victory that was shortened to five innings.

The Red Devils immediately took control of the contest with a massive six-run first inning. James Cote led the charge, going 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI.

Starting pitcher Quinton Hubbs secured the win with five efficient scoreless innings, allowing just four hits and striking out two to complete the Saturday sweep.

Sunday, March 1, 2026 - Game 1

The momentum shifted on Sunday, beginning with a grueling 12-inning marathon that saw Wenatchee Valley edge out a 6-4 win over Lower Columbia.

Despite the extra-inning loss, starting pitcher Caden Spanier delivered a fantastic performance, striking out nine batters over five innings without allowing an earned run.

Karsten Hansen anchored the offense by going 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored, and Martyn Hernandez collected two hits including a double.

Reliever Rudy Larson took the tough loss after pitching four hard-fought innings.

Game 2

In the series finale, the Lower Columbia bats went cold in a 3-0 shutout defeat.

The Wenatchee Valley pitching staff held the Red Devils to just three hits, with Jackson Wendt providing the lone extra-base hit via a double.

Starter Justin Fuller was tagged with the loss despite a solid outing, striking out five batters and yielding two earned runs on seven hits over six innings of work.

The Red Devils will get back at it March 8th and 9th with a four game home stand vs the Walla Walla Warriors. Games one and two on Saturday will kick off at 12:00 pm. Games Three and four on Sunday also start at 12:00 pm. All games will be live streamed on Devilvision at lccreddevils.com/devilstv
