The Lower Columbia College Red Devils women's basketball team brought the heat on Wednesday night, crushing Tacoma 83-50 in front of a home crowd of 219 fans at Myklebust Gymnasium. With their ticket already punched for the 2025-26 NWAC Championship tournament, the Devils (22-4, 10-1) showed exactly why they are a relentless postseason threat.
The Devils set the tone immediately, jumping out to a 23-12 lead in the first quarter. Though the second quarter was a tighter 19-16 battle, Lower Columbia blew the game wide open after halftime, outscoring Tacoma 28-16 in the third frame.
Tacoma (1-26, 1-9) simply couldn't keep up with Lower Columbia's stifling defense and rebounding dominance. The Red Devils held Tacoma to just 6 points in the final quarter, extending their lead to as much as 37 points before the final buzzer sounded.

Adrian Wright carried the offensive load for the Devils with a game-high 26 points. She also grabbed 9 rebounds and recorded 4 steals.

Angelica Askey added 13 points to the board. She also contributed 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

Jaci Gonnie facilitated the offense beautifully with a team-leading 6 assists. She scored 11 points on the night.
