Gonnie Hits Record 11 Threes in Red Devils' 78-39 Rout

DES MOINES, WA — Lower Columbia College's Jaci Gonnie made history on Saturday afternoon, shattering the school record for most three-pointers in a single game to lead the Red Devils to a dominant 78-39 victory over the Highline Thunderbirds.

Gonnie put on a masterclass in perimeter shooting, sinking 11 of her 20 attempts from beyond the arc. The sophomore guard finished with a game-high 35 points, single-handedly outscoring the entire Highline team through the first three quarters.

The undefeated conference leaders (18-3, 6-0) wasted no time establishing their dominance at the Thunderdome. Lower Columbia exploded out of the gate with a 32-7 first-quarter run, shooting an incredible 66.7% from the field in the opening frame.

Lower Columbia's stifling defense was the story on the other side of the ball. The Red Devils forced 30 Thunderbird turnovers, converting them into 24 points. LCC's active hands generated 17 team steals, keeping Highline out of rhythm all afternoon.
