LAKEWOOD, WA – The Lower Columbia Red Devils women's basketball team extended their winning streak to 11 games on Wednesday night, unleashing a barrage of three-pointers to rout the Pierce College Raiders 86-40 at the Pierce College HEC. After a relatively competitive first half where the Devils took a 31-17 lead into the locker room, LCC exploded in the third quarter to put the game out of reach. Jaci Gonnie led the offensive charge, pouring in a game-high 17 points in just 22 minutes. Gonnie was lethal from deep, connecting on 5-of-7 three-point attempts while also pulling down six rebounds.
The Red Devils' depth was a major factor in securing their 11th consecutive win, as the bench contributed a staggering 45 points compared to just 3 for Pierce. Lillian Bickford was a force in the paint and on the perimeter, tallying 13 points, four rebounds, and two blocks off the bench. Taylor Dagons was perfect from the field, going 4-for-4 to add 11 points and five rebounds in just seven minutes of action.
