(Longview, WA) -- In front of a spirited crowd on Dig Pink Night, the Centralia Trailblazers avenged an earlier loss to Lower Columbia by outlasting the Red Vils 3-2 on Friday October 17th.
The Devils won the first set 25-19. Centralia took a hard fought 25-23 win in the second. The Devils rallied back to take the third set 25-17. The Blazers tied the match with a 25-20 win in set four. The Blazers then took the 5th and decider 15-7.
It was a match of punch-counter punch.
Kendall Humphrey led LCC with 12 kills and 13 digs.Â
Claire Neuman was outstanding with 10 kills, eight digs and two blocks.
Karissa Otterstetter ran the offense and collected 25 assists with 10 digs.

Kamryn Sande had 23 digs.
Centralia was led by Meleseini Hutchins with 16 kills and Paige Miller with 14 kills.
Centralia is now tied with Highline for first place at 7-1. The Devils drop to 5-2.
LCC has a chance to get back in the league title hunt when they host Highline on Wednesday October 22nd. Match time is at 6 pm at Myklebust Gym.
