(Longview, WA) – Another game, another shutout for the Lower Columbia College women's soccer team.
Freshman keeper
Emma Beavin got the start in goal and had to deal with just two South Puget Sound shots in collecting the clean sheet.
The Devils meanwhile scored early and often in a 7-0 victory over the Clippers on Saturday September 21
st at Northlake Field.
Alexia Valdez had two of the seven Red Devil goals.
Rhyli Grim had a goal and an assist on the day.
LCC scored in just under two minutes elapsed when Valdez hit the net on a
Brynlee Grant assist. Grim cashed in a penalty kick just seconds later to make it 2-0.
At the 6:30 mark, Grim assisted
Shakira Nolasco to make it 3-0. Nolasco then got the assist for Valdez' second goal at 11'.
Up 4-0 at halftime, the Devils scored again at 51' when
Maddie Kohout scored unassisted.
Kari Pate got into the scoring column on an
Avery Ness assist at 67'.
LCC's final goal happened at 78' when
Zoie Clay scored on a
Sydney Lulay assist.
The Red Devils are 6-0 on the season and have yet to give up a goal. LCC is alone in first place in the West Region with a 4-0 record and 12 points.
Lower Columbia will step out of NWAC play when they head to McMinnville to play Linfield on Tuesday September 23
rd. The match begins at 2 pm.
The next league match is Saturday September 28th when the Devils host Centralia at 12 pm at Northlake Field.
