(Longview, WA) Lower Columbia moves to 2-0 in NWAC west region play with a 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 26-24) win over the Centraila Trailblazers on Friday, September 22 at Myklebust Gym.
The Red Devils started hot vs the Trailblazers winning the first set 25-8 setting the tone for the match. Everything settled down a little bit in the second and third set with the Devils taking both 25-17 and 26-24 respectively.
The Red Devils serving was on point as the team had 10 service aces on the night. Lower Columbia was also big at the net with 13 blocks.
Kate Johnson lead the Red Devils with 10 Kills and 3 blocks.
Paige Chinchen had 5 kills on the night and
Kate Onespot-Danforth added 4 along with 3 blocks, 14 assists, and 8 digs.
Cheyenne Wetlesen was big at the net with 4 blocks on the night.
Alex Tinsley was stellar with 11 assists and 3 ace serves.
Madi Noel added 12 digs and 3 assists.
Next up for #6 Lower Columbia (13-6) is a big road match at #4 Highline College (17-2) in Des Moines, WA. First serve is set for 6:00 pm.
