(Centralia, WA) Devils volleyball overcomes slow start to defeat Centralia in three straight sets on Wednesday, October, 18.

Lower Columbia had trouble in the first set shaking the Trailblazers. After getting up 18-16 the Devils were unable to close it out as Centralia battle back with 5 unanswered pints to take a 18-21 lead. The Devils regrouped and to get back within one at 24-25. Then, the Devils tired it up at 25 off a Kambree Baker kill, followed by Kate Johnson with another kill to make it 26-25. Brooke Parsons hit an ace serve to close out the first set, 27-25, for LCC. 

After that it was all Lower Columbia from there as the Devils took set two 25-13 and closed out the match with a 25-11 win of set three. 

Kendal Collins lead the Devils with 9 kills, 18 digs, and 3 ace serves. Johnson finished the night with 8 kills and a block.

Kate Onespot-Danforth had 8 kills, 11 assists, and a block. Alex Tinsley continued her strong play with 11 assists and 2 ace serves. 

Samantha Farland continued to be a big presence up front with 3 blocks and 5 kills. 

Lower Columbia had 11 ace serves on the night with a .236 attack percentage.   

The win puts the Devils at 7-1 on the season and sets up Friday's, October 20th, home match vs the Highline Thunderbirds (7-0) as a battle for number in the west. 

Friday's match is "SEA OF RED" night at Myklebust gym as we ask everyone to wear red and get loud for your Red Devils. The match is set for a 6:00 pm start.
