Box Score (Longview, WA) – After four wins in four road outings, the Lower Columbia women's soccer team got on the home pitch for the time on Saturday August 20th.
An the winning continued.
LCC defeated Douglas College of British Columbia 3-0 at Northlake Field.
The scoring got started when the Royals scored an own goal. The play started with a great corner kick by
Adalie Schierscher and the ball went into the goal off a Douglas player.
The Devils made it 2-0 at the 43 minute mark when
Nataija Blaylock boomed the ball from 30 plus feet and into the upper left corner.
The Devils closed out the scoring at 55' of the second half when
Ellie Seekins intercepted a Douglas pass and scored from 25 feet out.
Kyla Pires and
Taylor Wilkinson combined for the shutout in goal.
After three scrimmage wins (Multnomah, Evergreen State, Umpqua) and a 1-0 non-league victory with Southwestern Oregon, the Devils are now 2-0 on the season.
LCC will take part in the NWAC Friendlies at the Starfire Complex in Tukwila. Tuesday August 23
rd the Devils take on Walla Walla at 9:00 am. LCC then goes up against Spokane at 10:00 am on Wednesday August 24
th.
