The first half was a back-and-forth affair as the Lower Columbia Red Devils and Tacoma Titans traded punches. The second half was a knockout for LCC as the Devils outscored TCC 45-25 and went on to a 77-58 win on Tuesday April 20th.
Tacoma was ahead 33-32 at halftime but a Red Devil blitz turned it into a second half blowout.
Hitting just 31 percent from the floor in the first half LCC completely turned it around by going 17-28 from the floor (61%) in the final 20 minutes.
Taylor Pomeroy led LCC with 21 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Cole Hardy had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The freshman also had four assists.
Dawson Fritz provided a spark with 10 points. Despite playing with foul problems
Sherman Royal III had eight points before fouling out.
Solomon Campbell was active on the boards with nine rebounds to go with seven points.
Marlon Lundgren-Garcia had similar numbers with seven points and nine rebounds.
Ky-mani Pollard had an excellent floor game with seven points, two boards, five assists and two steals.
Jared Franklin led Tacoma with 13 points.
The Devils are 3-0 on the season and will head to Des Moines for a 3:00 pm start Friday April 23rd against the Highline Thunderbirds.
