Friday, October 22, Myklebust gym was the place to be for volleyball fans. Red Devils vs Raiders volleyball is always good and this one was no different. 

Devils came out swinging in the first set and quickly got out to an 18-10 lead on Pierce. The Raiders tried to regroup but they got to within 5 of the Devils who took set one 25-19
The Raiders changed a few things up in the second set and took advantage of some LCC errors to tie up the match at 1-1 with a 25-17 win of set two. Set three also went the Raiders way as the Devils committed several attack errors to give Pierce a quick 9-3 lead. The Red Devils did not give up and battle back to come with in 2 but then Pierce took over and ran to 25-12 win of set three. The Devils were not going to go away though and proved it in set four as they jumped out to a 18-14 lead. Pierce tried to mount a comeback getting to within 1 but then LCC went on a 6 point run to win the fourth set 25-18. Unfortunately, that was it for the Devils bid to give Pierce their first league loss of the season. Pierce jumped out to 13-5 lead and the Red Devils just didn't have an answer for them as Pierce went on to win the fifth set 15-8 and take the match 3-2. 

Camryn Wilson lead the Devils with 11 kills and 23 digs. Emma Nelson was big as always in the back court with 23 digs of her own. Katy Cooper had 14 digs as well. 
Ashley Noah had a great match with 18 assists and 12 digs. Amanda Holm put up 15 assists with 6 digs.
Emily Bergstedt had 8 kills and a block, Jazzy Golly put down 7 kills as well.
Olivia Kelzenberg had 2 blocks

The loss puts Lower Columbia in tie for third place with Tacoma in the West Region behind Highline at second and Pierce at the top. 

Next up for the Devils is a road match vs the Green River Gators on Friday, October 22, at 7:00 pm.
