In a battle of 4-1 West Region teams, it wasn't much of a battle.
The Highline Thunderbirds came to Longview and swept Lower Columbia 3-0 on Wednesday October 13th.
The set scores were 25-17, 25-21 and 25-11.
Not much went right for LCC. The Devils kill percentage was a season low -.019. LCC also had eight service errors and they came at bad times.
Josie Dew had a team-high five kills and
Olivia Kelzenberg added four.
With the misfires at the net, there were just 14 assists in the match for LCC.
Emma Nelson had 13 digs to lead the back row.
Vanessa Mendez had 26 digs for Higline.
LCC drops to 4-2 in league play while Highline takes over second place alone at 5-1. The teams will meet again in Des Moines in the regular season final on Wednesday November 10th.
The next order of duty for LCC is to flush the match and get ready for the second run through league play. The Devils will next be at South Puget Sound Wednesday October 20th.
