The Red Devil baseball team broke out the brooms over the weekend sweeping a four game series with Grays Harbor.
In the opener on Saturday April 27, the Devils put banged out 10 hits in an 11-3 victory over the Chokers.
Trevor Paro went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's and a walk,
Chase Matheny was 2 for 4 with a double,
Tommy Davis was 1 for 2 also with a double.
DeShawn Johnson pitched 5.2 innings with 3 strike outs and 5 hits to get the win.
Rance Pittman came in for 2.1 inning of relief allowing only 1 hit with two stikeouts.
Zac Horne finished things off with a great 9
th inning in his first time back on the mound after being out with an injury.

In the second game Saturday at Story Field, the Devils won 3-1.
The Devils three runs came in the 3
rd inning when Paro reach on a fielder's choice,
Noah Andrews hit a double and then
Shane Jamison smacked a triple to deep center field, scoring Paro and Andrews.
Colin Floyd stepped up and gave the Chokers some déjà vu as he blasted another triple to almost the same spot, scoring Jamison.
Grays Harbor put up their only run in the 5
th when Evan Turnquist hit a triple of his own and scored on a Red Devils throwing error.
Justin Solt pitched a complete game to get the win. Solt allowed only 4 hits, while striking out 8 batters with no walks.

On Sunday April 27, the Devils traveled to Hoquiam for games three and four at Olympic Stadium.
Lower Columbia took the first game Sunday 7-0.
The Devils first three runs came in the top of the fifth when Johnson hit a 3Â run homer. In the seventh, Andrews blasted an RBI triple, followed by a Jameson RBI single to give LCC a 5-0 lead. LCC got another run after 2 walks and a hit-by-pitch. Floyd added the final run in the 9
th with a solo home run.
GJ Hurst had a solid game going 2 for 4 with a walk, Floyd was 2 for 5.
Yancy Bird was solid on the mound going 6.2 innings striking out 5 batters and allowing only 2 hits to get the win.
Alex Brady came and finished of the final 2.1 innings striking out 3 of the 9 batters he faced.

In the final game of the series, Lower Columbia put up 16 runs on 15 hits to defeat the Chokers 16-6.
Chase Matheny went 4 for 4 with 4 RBI's including a HR and a Double.
Tommy Davis was 2 for 3 with a walk and a double. Jamison was also 2 for 3 with a walk. Johnson went 2 for 5. Floyd hit another long ball, his fifth of the season.
Kaden Vanderwerf threw 3 innings get the win with the Devils mercy ruling Harbor after six.
Dakota Hawkins hurled two innings of relief and
Nick Jennings finished it off in the 6
th.
With victories, the Devils are in a three-way tie for first place in the NWAC West Division. LCC, Tacoma and Pierce are all 14-3 in league play.
Next up for Lower Columbia is a trip to Lakewood, WA for a 1:00 pm double-header vs the Pierce Raiders on Saturday, May 4. The games will be played at Mount Tahoma High School. The Raiders and Devils will then meet at Story Field on Sunday, May 5, for a 1:00 pm doubleheader.
