A big four game series between two NWAC powers was reduced to just a single game due to weather.
The Devils were able to win the one game played.
Lower Columbia snapped Edmonds nine game win streak with a 9-4 victory on Friday March 23rd.
Sam Trend-Beacom hit two homers and drove in five runs to lead the way. The sophomore from Australia has been on fire. It was his 5th homer of the season.
Ricky Muzzy had two hits and scored two runs.Â
JT Strickler had two hits including an RBI triple.Â
Hunter Cook also had a hit and two RBI's.
Yancy Bird shook off a shaky first inning and settled down to get the victory. The Tritons scored two runs in the first off Bird. Yancy ended up going five innings giving up two hits with five strikeouts.
Derek Downey went three solid innings giving up three hits and one run.Â
DeShawn Johnson closed it out with a perfect ninth.
The second game began and went two frames before hail, sleet and frozen rain took over. The game was cancelled.
The teams got together the following day at Story Field and LCC had a 3-0 lead when the game was called due to persistent rain. The second game was also cancelled.
The Devils now get ready for the start of the league season as they will host the Tacoma Titans in a single game Friday March 30th, Game time is set for 5 pm.
LCC closed out the non league season with a 9-4 record.
