Every Red Devil scored and every Red Devil got at least a rebound.

The Lower Columbia women's basketball team defeated Tacoma 76-49 in a solid team effort on Wednesday January 31st.

LCC ran out to a 22-5 lead after the first quarter and took it from there.  All five Devil starters scored in double figures.

The starting backcourt was effective as Madison Crews had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists and Cherita Daugherty had 12 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Shanay Dotson had 12 points and eight rebounds.  Hayley Niles had 11 points and eight rebounds. She extended the defense by hitting 3 of 5 three-point attempts. Tywanna Abbott had 11 points and seven rebounds.  Both Niles and Abbott played the rejectors with 3 and 2 blocks respectively.

Kenya Lorton and Nizhoni Wheeler each had seven points off the Red Devil bench.  Jaden Howard and Nina Bailey also played important bench roles.

 The Devils finish out the first round through the West Division with a 5-2 record.  The team will have a bye on Saturday and return to action Wednesday February 7th at home against Gree River. Tip time is 6 pm.
