Box Score The 2017 Red Devil women's soccer team opened the season by scoring a late goal to come away with a 1-1 tie with Columbia Basin at the NWAC Friendlies event at the Starfire Complex.

The match was played in Tukwila on Thursday August 24th.

Freshman Kayla Willis scored the goal in the 87th minute as the Devils found themselves down 1-0 in the late going, despite more shots on goal than the Hawks 8-4.  Willis' goal was set up by the assist from fellow freshman Kaylee Murray.

The match was tied at halftime, but the Hawks struck first with a goal at the 47th minute.

LCC goalkeeper Kennedy Werner had four saves.

The Red Devils (0-0-1) will take on the Portland Panthers at 4 pm Friday August 25th at Starfire. Portland lost its opening game 8-0 to Skagit Valley.

LCC's home opener is on Monday August 28th as the Walla Walla Warriors visit Northlake Field for a 3 pm match.
