The Red Devil baseball team took advantage of a warm sunny afternoon to get play a non-league double header with Clark on Wednesday May 2
nd.

Clark won the first game 7-5 and the Devils bounced back to take the nightcap 13-4.

Jake Roes got the start in the first game and went three innings, giving up two runs.Â
Tom Gomez went two frames and also allowed two runs.
Zac Horne pitched the final two innings and allowed five hits and three runs.
Â
The Devils couldn't take full advantage of five HBP's from Clark pitching. LCC left seven men on base.

The big hit for LCC was
Quinton McDaniel's two run double in the sixth.

LCC closed strong in game two, scoring four in the 5
th and seven in the 6
th. Seven Clark pitchers walked 10 Red Devils.

Blayze Arcano had a good game going 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBI's.

Steve Robinson drove in two runs and scored three.Â
Chase Hodkinson had two ribbies and scored two runs.

Travis Paynter went 4 1/3 innings allowing three runs on three hits.Â
Todd Reese got the win in relief by giving up just two hits and a run in 2 2/3 innings of work.

LCC is 29-7 overall. The Devils return to league action this Saturday for a four game set with Centralia. Due to scheduling issues with Centralia, they have requested the schedule home and home be flip flopped. Please note the change as LCC will be at Centralia Saturday at 1 pm and then host the Blazers Sunday at 1 pm. Sunday's double header will still feature Ashtown Brewing Company Day.
