The Linn Benton Roadrunners needed 25 days to complete a double header sweep over LCC.
In a makeup of the second game of the season opener March 3rd, the Roadrunners beat the Red Devils 8-3 on Tuesday March 28th at Story Field.
Linn Benton scored four runs in the 4th inning and rallied from 3-0 down to take the win. The big inning was helped by two Red Devil errors.
Linn Benton pitching shut down the LCC bats after the third, although the Red Devils did outhit the 'Runners 11 to 8.
JT Strickler and
Jordan Barchus both came off the bench to collect two hits.
Chandler Michalek and
Kyle Sandstrom each had RBI singles.
Nick Tabura took the loss, giving up just one earned run in 3 1/3 innings.Â
Travis Paynter gave up two runs in two innings.Â
Jake Roes went 1 2/3 innings and didn't allow a run.Â
Zac Horne had a clean 8th inning.Â
Trevor Huddleston gave up two runs in the top of the 9th.
The Devils closed out non-divisional play with an 11-4 record. They open up West Region play Saturday April 1st in Hoquiam. The Devils and Grays Harbor Chokers meet in a single game at 1 pm.
LCC will host Pierce on Sunday April 2nd in a 1 pm single game at Story Field.
