The Lower Columbia baseball team got the sticks out in a Sunday Sweep at Skagit Valley College.

At Dream Field in Mount Vernon, the Devils won the first game 12-8 and then completed the sweep with a 13-0 victory. LCC had 35 hits in the double header.

In game one, LCC scored three runs in the first inning to take the early advantage.  The Cards rallied back to make it a one run game after six frames. The Devils then scored five in the top of the 7th to blow it open.

Leadoff man Ricky Muzzy went 3 for 7 with five RBI's in the Devils 17 hit attack.

Corey Conklin went 3 for 4 with an RBI.  Kyle Sandstrom, Cameron Campbell, Nicklaus Palmer, Trevor Huddleston and Jordan Barchus all had two hits each. Campbell hit his second homer of the season.

The offense backed up the pitching of starter Taylor Davis who went six innings to get the victory. Davis wasn't sharp as he allowed five hits and seven runs.  Tom Gomez gave up a homer in his one inning of work.  Huddleston closed it out with two innings of shutout relief, scattering five hits.

It was all Devils in game two Sunday.

LCC scored five in the first and never looked back, winning 13-0. The Devils had 18 hits.

Tyler Parsons went six sparkling innings of four hit, shutout ball. The sophomore lefty walked just one and struck out five.

Zac Horne closed it out with three innings of four hit shoutout ball.

Leading the offensive explosion in game two was Davis who went 4 for 4 with two RBI's.

Conklin continued his hot hitting with a 3 for 6 game with two ribbies.  Sandstrom, Huddleston and Todd Reese had two hits each.

LCC had three homers in the game. Campbell went deep as did JT Strickler and Huddleston.

The Devils close out the four game set with a Monday double header at Skagit.  The first game is set for 12 pm, also at Dream Field in Mount Vernon.
