It was a very productive and offensive trip to Mount Vernon for the LCC Red Devils.
An the pitching was pretty darn good as well.
The Devils completed a four game series sweep over Skagit Valley by taking two games Monday by scores of 7-3 and 8-2.
Monday's game one had plenty of offensive stars led by
Chandler Michalek. The freshman from Auburn had an RBI triple and a home run to lead the 13 hit attack.
Kyle Sandstrom continued his torrid pace with four hits in six at bats. Sandtrom had an RBI double.
Steve Robinson and
Corey Conklin had two hits each. Robinson also had an RBI double.
JT Strickler also provided an RBI single.
Nick Tabura went 5 innings and allowed three runs, but none were earned.
Anthony Garcia had a good long relief stint with four innings of two hit ball.
The second game saw the Devils fall behind 2-0 after three innings. They tied it up with two runs in the 4
th highlighted by a
Jordan Barchus RBI double.
LCC took the lead with two in the 7
th on a
Cameron Campbell two run double.
The Red Devils blew it open with four runs in the 8
th led by a Palmer two run double.
Anthony Brink went five innings and worked around 10 hits, giving up just one earned run.
Jared Akin pitched four frames of one-hit ball to close out a great four game set.
LCC pounded out 66 hits in the four game series to raise the record to 7-2 on the season.
The Devils host Olympic in a double header on Tuesday March 21
st at 1 pm at Story Field.
